Fuel cell and lithium battery technologies compliment each other perfectly.
Clean and efficient Auxiliary Power Unit (APU)
Fuel Cell – Lithium Ion Battery – Inverter/Charger
all combined in one powerful APU.
The traditional APU technology is based on the combustion engine used as a generator, this is a very well known and reliable technology that is understood and trusted throughout the industry and used in several applications provided by a large number of companies.
However compared with the Auxiliary Hybrid Power solution, the combustion technology is very inefficient with a 15% energy efficiency compared to the 90% of the lithium technology and 40% in the fuel cell technology, the fuel costs are high, the technology is polluting, the maintenance costs are high and the contribution to the working environment is negative, furthermore the legislation requirement on combustion solutions only increase over time, making the solution less and less beneficial.
