APU technologies

The traditional APU technology is based on the combustion engine used as a generator, this is a very well known and reliable technology that is understood and trusted throughout the industry and used in several applications provided by a large number of companies.

 

However compared with the Auxiliary Hybrid Power solution, the combustion technology is very inefficient with a 15% energy efficiency compared to the 90% of the lithium technology and 40% in the fuel cell technology, the fuel costs are high, the technology is polluting, the maintenance costs are high and the contribution to the working environment is negative, furthermore the legislation requirement on combustion solutions only increase over time, making the solution less and less beneficial. 
 
With the introduction of a new green power generator technology based on fuel cells, a lithium battery pack and an inverter system, we seek to create a new Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) that can replace traditional fossil fueled industrial generator solutions, or having the vehicle engine running idle for power purposes. We call the new system the Auxiliary Hybrid Power solution.

Lithium iron is chosen for following reasons:
+ It is half the price of the other lithium technologies. 
+ Low size and weight compared to lithium-titanate. 
+ Safe, especially compared to lithium polymer.
+ Long lifetime.
